Amare Probiotics is the product of cousins, Dominique Lewis and Jonathan Barcant.
Together Dominique and Jonathan set out to bring probiotic foods and their rich range of health benefits to Trinidad & Tobago, founding Amare Probiotics in 2015. Since then, Amare Probiotics has created a diverse range of probiotic food and beverage products, which include a variety of flavours that are all created through different processes of controlled lacto-fermentation using beneficial cultures.
Jonathan graduated in 2010 from McGill University in Canada as a civil engineer and spent several years working on large projects internationally before shifting his career path in 2013 towards environmental conservation. During his transition he spent several months traveling Latin America.
While in Costa Rica and in Guatemala, Jonathan discovered two types of fermented foods; Kefir & Kombucha. After two years of home fermenting, Jonathan’s hobby met Dominque’s knowledge and passion for health through the use of probiotic cultures.
Dominique had always imagined herself in a laboratory and maybe even owning one having completed a BsC in Biomedical Science in 2005 at UKC in Canterbury, and a PGC in Medical Microbiology in 2014, at the University of Surrey, in the U.K.

helped with stomach issues
The sorrel is my absolute fave, with ginger as a close second! I couldn't believe how quickly it helped with some stomach issues I was having. This is also the best goats milk on the island, I wish it came in a half sized bottle option as well though. Great job!!!!
